Heka Mobile partition Mobil
Mobil is a partition on castors for spaces that change through the day. It carries the same 24 mm felt panel as the Duo model, set on four lockable swivel castors, so one person can move it without tools.
It works in coworking spaces, classrooms, multi-purpose halls and at events, where an enclosed zone or a backdrop for a presentation has to appear quickly.
The felt surface takes drawing pins, so the screen doubles as a working wall during a workshop. It is available in ten colours.

Technical data — Mobil
Materials and construction
Material: 100 % polyester (PET felt), with at least 60 % recycled content from used bottles according to supplier data. The panels are fully recyclable.
Density: 9 mm approximately 1,900 g/m², 12 mm approximately 2,400 g/m², 24 mm from 3,500 to 4,000 g/m².
Fire classification: EN 13501-1, class B-s1,d0 as confirmed by the supplier (individual batches B-s2,d0 — the certificate for the specific batch is enclosed with the delivery).
Emissions: OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and REACH, free of formaldehyde, low emissions of volatile organic compounds.
Core: 24 mm PET felt. Frame: slim steel profile, powder-coated. Castors: four swivel castors with brakes, black or white.
Acoustics and absorption
24 mm felt panel (ASTM C423-22): αs 0.25 / 0.45 / 0.88 / 1.06 / 0.85 / 0.97 at 125, 250, 500, 1000, 2000 and 4000 Hz. NRC 0.80, SAA 0.82.
A free-standing panel absorbs from both sides, which makes it more effective than a wall lining of the same area.
An honest caveat: a mobile screen lowers reflection and breaks the direct path of sound, but it is not sound insulation. In a room with a bare concrete ceiling the effect will be limited until the ceiling acoustics are dealt with as well.
The values given come from the data sheets for the PET felt, measured to ISO 354:2003 or ASTM C423-22 and classified to ISO 11654:1997. They apply to material of this thickness with the installation described. For a specific room we prepare a reverberation time calculation based on the floor plan.
Installation
The partition is delivered assembled, with the castors already fitted. Before first use, check that every brake works.
In use: lock the brakes before work starts, otherwise the partition shifts when someone leans on it. When moving it over thresholds and cable trunking, tilt the partition so that the castors are not loaded sideways.
The frame and castors come in black or white; state your choice with the order.
For a permanent division of a room with no moving, choose the Duo model with steel feet.
Care and cleaning
In normal use felt needs no special care. Vacuum it regularly with an upholstery nozzle or clean it with a soft brush, roughly twice a year.
Remove individual stains with a slightly damp cloth and a mild detergent, then let the surface air-dry. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, solvents or steam cleaners.
A damaged panel can be replaced on its own, so there is no need to renew the whole pattern.
Delivery and lead times
Standard sizes: production and delivery 2 to 3 weeks.
Made to measure: 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the scope of the order.
Delivery: Slovenia and the EU with our own transport or through a forwarder. For larger projects we agree on floor-by-floor delivery and an installation schedule.
Returns: 14 days for standard products in accordance with the law. Made-to-measure products are excluded.

Acoustics are settled at the design stage, not at handover. We send architects and specifiers data sheets, an absorption calculation for the actual floor plan and drawings to place in the project.

Frequently asked questions
Does the partition move while it is in use?
Not if you lock the brakes on the castors. We recommend locking them whenever the partition is in its working position.
How many partitions do I need for a separate zone?
Two partitions in an L shape close off a corner, three make a small room without a ceiling. When positioning them, allow for circulation routes and escape exits.
Does the partition fit through an ordinary door?
The smallest version is 800 mm wide and passes through a standard door. Move wider panels lengthwise along corridors; when moving between floors, check the dimensions of the lift.
Can the partitions be linked together?
The Mobil model is designed as a stand-alone unit without hinges, so that it stays mobile. For a linked run of panels, choose the Duo model with hinges.
How do I clean the castors?
Remove dust and fibres from the castor axles from time to time. A clogged axle is the most common reason for a castor to stop turning.

What you get besides the product
Acoustics are a project, not an article number. So along with the panels you get a calculation, samples and someone to talk to who also makes the product.
Our own production
Cutting to size, edge finishing and final work take place in the Hit Preless production facility in Medvode, while the felt comes from suppliers we have tested. That is why a custom size is the rule here, not the exception.
Recycled PET felt
The material is made of recycled polyester, free of formaldehyde and low in emissions of volatile compounds. At the end of its life it is recyclable.
Honest figures
We publish absorption both without an air gap and with one. The difference between the two classes comes from the installation, not from a figure in an advertisement.

Heka Interior is a brand of Hit Preless, a company from Medvode. In the same facility where bespoke furniture for offices and hotels is made, we also produce acoustic linings. That is why special sizes, lengths and versions are feasible even in small batches.
