Heka Interior is a Slovenian office furniture brand, built on the forty-year tradition of Hit Preless.
In 2020, within our family company Hit Preless d.o.o., we founded the Heka Interior brand — with a clear purpose: to make ergonomic office chairs, sit-stand desks and the full range of office furniture (cabinets, sideboards, acoustic dividers, meeting tables, receptions, lounges) capable of meeting the demands of the modern working day, here at home in Slovenia. Not as factory uniformity, but to your specification. With your choice of fabrics, colours, materials and dimensions. With our own joinery, upholstery and vehicle fleet — all under one roof.
Behind us stands Hit Preless: an outfitter of hotels and public buildings that has delivered, over the last thirty years, 300+ projects in 30+ countries across Europe. Heka uses the same production, the same engineering team and the same quality standard — simply for office settings instead of hotels.
[ PRODUCTION ]
All under one roof. In Medvode.
Our production team consists of 80+ employees — carpenters, upholsterers, engineers, project managers, and drivers. We have our own carpentry workshop with CNC technology, an in-house upholstery department, our own transport fleet, and an in-house engineering department.
Every piece of furniture is created in-house — from sawing the board to final delivery. We do not use subcontractors for core processes like carpentry, upholstery, or transport.

From a carpentry workshop in Medvode to hotels and offices across Europe.
1986
It all begins in the carpentry workshop
Roman Pregrad opens a carpentry workshop in Medvode. Hand-made furniture for local customers, Slovenian wood.
1991
Founding of Hit Preless
Following a partnership between brothers Roman and Jure Pregrad, the carpentry workshop is transformed into the company Hit Preless d.o.o.
1992
Our Own Fleet
We acquire our first delivery vehicles. From this year onwards, we handle transport across Europe with our own fleet.
1999
In-house Upholstery
We open our own upholstery workshop. Fabrics, leather, and foam are processed in-house, without using subcontractors for upholstery.
2003
Relocation to larger production facilities
The engineering, accounting, transport, and carpentry departments move to new business premises. The upholstery workshop takes over the old premises, gaining more space for production and storage.
2012
First hotel projects in Germany
We sign our first contracts for comprehensive hotel interior furnishing in the German market, marking the beginning of our regular presence in Germany.
2013
Hotel NOX — our reference project
Hotel NOX opens in Ljubljana — a 4-star boutique design hotel with 34 uniquely furnished rooms. It also serves as our group's reference project, where clients can see our quality standards in practice.
2015
Hit Preless GmbH in Grünwald
We establish our subsidiary Hit Preless GmbH in Grünwald, near Munich. With a local office, German-speaking project managers and faster communication, Germany becomes our second home market.
2020
Birth of the Heka Interior brand
Office furniture becomes an independent division with its own brand: Heka Interior. Ergonomic chairs, height-adjustable desks, children's chairs, lounge furniture — all with the same manufacturing background that has furnished hotels across Europe.
2023
Digitalization of production (Industry 4.0)
Modernization of production and administrative processes. This includes computer-controlled CNC machining, digital work orders, and tracking of each piece from the raw board to delivery.
2025
Showroom opening at HKZ Munich
We open our showroom, Room 102, at the Hotel-Kompetenz-Zentrum (HKZ) in Munich. Here, hotel investors, architects, and designers can view our work: furniture, upholstery, textiles, and lighting. The showroom will remain at the HKZ until 2027.

Every project is different. Your chair should be no exception.
With Heka, you are not buying an off-the-shelf piece of furniture. We custom-make every chair and desk to your specifications—letting you choose the fabric (mesh, fabric, leather, eco-leather), frame color, caster type, seat and backrest dimensions, and armrest design. We can also incorporate your corporate colors or embroider your company logo onto the backrest.
Because we manufacture in Slovenia, customization is part of our standard process. The manufacturing and delivery time for a custom-made product is 4 to 6 weeks.

[ FOR ARCHITECTS AND DESIGNERS ]
We collaborate with architects and interior designers.
Full technical specifications, 3D models for AutoCAD and Revit, fabric and material samples, and consultations with our engineering team are available to architects and companies. We offer production facility tours, sample chairs for client presentations, and feasibility checks for customizations before providing a quote.
We also produce custom, non-serial pieces in-house — such as a reception desk from a sketch, a conference table from a specific wood, or a set of chairs in a client's corporate colors.
[ LONG-TERM SERVICE ]
Furniture that we service and maintain for the long term.
The manufacturer's warranty is 3 years. After the warranty expires, we provide paid services — gas lift replacement, mechanism repair, new upholstery — even for chairs manufactured a decade ago. We keep spare parts for older models.
Clients often add new pieces, replace worn-out items, or rearrange their equipment over the years. We remain available to assist during these phases.

Heka furniture is made in Slovenia. Hit Preless runs its own production, where carpenters, upholsterers, engineers and drivers work under one roof — more than 80 employees in total. Because we have our own production, logistics and installation, we keep control over quality at every step, from manufacturing to delivery and on-site assembly at the customer.

What makes Heka different from other suppliers?
Heka combines in-house production, full personalisation and support across the whole project. A chair can be tailored with your choice of fabrics and colours and, if you wish, finished with your company logo, and every product is covered by a quality warranty. Yes. Hit Preless has its own production, its own logistics and its own installation, so a single team handles the project from start to finish. This means shorter lead times, fewer intermediaries and clear accountability for the result.
