Heka Acoustic panel Kvadro
Kvadro is the basic building block of an acoustic wall covering: a rectangular panel in recycled PET felt with a smooth surface and precisely cut edges. Combine the panels freely into a band, a grid or a whole wall.
It is made for offices, meeting rooms and classrooms where speech bounces off smooth walls and starts to wear people down after a few hours. The panel shortens the reverberation time and improves speech intelligibility, so meetings are less draining and work in an open-plan space is more focused.
It is available in three thicknesses, ten colours and sizes up to 2400 × 1200 mm. For the highest absorption class we recommend installing it with 50 mm of rock wool behind the panel.

Technical data — Kvadro
Materials and construction
Material: 100% polyester (PET felt), according to supplier data with at least 60% recycled content from used plastic bottles. The panels are fully recyclable.
Density: 9 mm approximately 1,900 g/m², 12 mm approximately 2,400 g/m², 24 mm from 3,500 to 4,000 g/m².
Fire classification: EN 13501-1, class B-s1,d0 as certified by the supplier (individual batches B-s2,d0 — the certificate for the specific batch is enclosed with the delivery).
Emissions: OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and REACH, formaldehyde-free, low emissions of volatile organic compounds.
Thicknesses: 9, 12 and 24 mm. Largest panel: 2400 × 1200 mm; larger surfaces are assembled from several panels.
Acoustics and absorption
12 mm, panel fixed directly to the wall (ISO 354:2003): αs 0.00 / 0.05 / 0.22 / 0.49 / 0.71 / 0.94 at 125, 250, 500, 1000, 2000 and 4000 Hz. That gives αw 0.25, class E, and NRC 0.40.
12 mm with a 200 mm air gap: NRC rises to 0.70.
12 mm with 50 mm of rock wool behind it: αs 0.42 / 0.88 / 0.99 / 0.98 / 0.99 / 1.01, which corresponds to αw 0.90 and class A.
24 mm, panel fixed directly to the wall (ASTM C423-22): αs 0.25 / 0.45 / 0.88 / 1.06 / 0.85 / 0.97, NRC 0.80, SAA 0.82. To ISO 11654 that is αw 0.55, class D.
A fair warning: thickness alone does not solve acoustics. A thin panel glued straight onto the wall picks up mainly the high frequencies. Speech sits mostly between 250 and 2000 Hz, so it is the air gap or the infill behind the panel that moves it from class E to class A. That is the physics of the quarter-wave distance from a rigid wall, not a marketing promise.
The values quoted come from the data sheets for the PET felt, measured to ISO 354:2003 and ASTM C423-22 respectively and classified to ISO 11654:1997. They apply to this material in this thickness with the installation described. For a specific room we prepare a reverberation time calculation based on the floor plan.
Installation
Adhesive pads: no drilling, the panel sits flat on the wall. The quickest installation, but without an air gap and therefore with the lowest absorption.
25 mm spacers: the panel hangs with a gap in front of the wall. The gap improves absorption in the mid frequencies.
Magnetic brackets: the panel stays removable, which suits rented premises and walls that have to be opened up from time to time.
50 mm of rock wool behind the panel: the version with the highest absorption. We price the wool and the substructure in the quotation — write to sales@heka-interior.com.
The mounting method you choose is carried over to the order as a note; the fixing kit for that version is either enclosed or priced separately.
Care and cleaning
In normal use the felt needs no special care. Vacuum it regularly with an upholstery nozzle or clean it with a soft brush, roughly twice a year.
Remove individual stains with a slightly damp cloth and a mild detergent, then let the surface air dry. Do not use aggressive cleaners, solvents or steam cleaners.
A damaged panel can be replaced on its own, so there is no need to renew the whole pattern.
Delivery and lead times
Standard sizes: production and delivery 2 to 3 weeks.
Made to measure: 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the size of the order.
Delivery: Slovenia and the EU with our own vehicles or through a forwarder. For larger projects we agree delivery floor by floor and an installation schedule.
Returns: 14 days for standard products, as provided by law. Made-to-measure products are excluded.

Acoustics are decided at the design stage, not when the space is handed over. We send architects and specifiers data sheets, an absorption calculation for the actual floor plan and drawings to place in the project.

Frequently asked questions
Which thickness should I choose?
For an office with conversation and video calls, 24 mm is the most sensible choice, because it covers the speech range from 500 to 2000 Hz. A thickness of 12 mm is a good compromise where space is limited, and 9 mm is the one to use when the problem is mainly high, harsh reflections.
How many walls do I have to cover?
It depends on the size of the room, the ceiling height and the materials already in it. In open-plan offices it pays to start with two opposite walls and the ceiling above the working group. Send the floor plan to sales@heka-interior.com and we will prepare a calculation.
Can I get a panel in the exact dimensions of my room?
Yes. We cut the width and the height in 10 mm increments, up to a largest panel of 2400 × 1200 mm. Larger surfaces are assembled from several panels, and we plan the joint so that it follows the pattern of the cladding. Custom sizes are ordered through an inquiry.
Does the panel really achieve class A?
Only in the version with 50 mm of rock wool behind it. Glued straight onto the wall it sits in class E to D. That is why we publish both figures for every product, so you know what you are buying.
How is the panel cleaned?
Vacuum it with an upholstery nozzle or clean it with a soft brush. Remove stains with a slightly damp cloth and a mild detergent. Aggressive cleaners and steam cleaners are not suitable.
Can I order the panels in my company colour?
On projects with a larger number of pieces we agree a shade to match your corporate identity with the felt supplier. The lead time and the minimum quantity are confirmed in the quotation — write to sales@heka-interior.com.

What you get besides the product
Acoustics are a project, not an article. So along with the panels you get a calculation, samples and someone to talk to who also manufactures the product.
Our own production
Cutting to size, edge finishing and final work are done in the Hit Preless plant in Medvode, and we source the felt from proven suppliers. That is why a custom size is the rule here, not the exception.
Recycled PET felt
The material is made from recycled polyester, free of formaldehyde and with low emissions of volatile compounds. At the end of its service life it is recyclable.
Honest figures
We publish absorption without an air gap and with one. The difference between the two classes is made by the installation, not by an advertising figure.

Made in a plant that fits out entire buildings
Heka Interior is a brand of Hit Preless, based in Medvode. In the same plant where bespoke furniture for offices and hotels is built, we also make acoustic cladding. That is why special sizes, lengths and versions are feasible even in small batches.
