Delavska hranilnica: furnishing the new offices in the Vilharia building

Delavska hranilnica is moving its offices into Vilharia - a new office building in the center of Ljubljana - and we are preparing the complete fit-out of the new premises. The project covers six floors, from the ground floor up to the fifth, and includes height-adjustable desks, custom furniture, kitchenettes, acoustic and wooden wall panels, graphic signage, curtains and indoor planting. It is one of the larger complete office fit-out projects we are delivering in 2026.

Which premises are we furnishing?

We are furnishing the offices of Delavska hranilnica in the Vilharia building on Vilharjeva cesta, right next to Ljubljana's main railway and bus station. The fit-out covers six floors with around 4,450 m² of net usable space. The interior was designed by the architecture studio Kragelj arhitekti.

Vilharia is one of the most sustainable office buildings in Slovenia. It holds the LEED Platinum certificate, and its architecture was designed by the Danish studio Schmidt Hammer Lassen. Fitting out a working environment in a building with such high environmental standards means the furniture also has to be thought through down to the last detail - from the choice of materials to the way it is installed.

What does the fit-out of the new offices include?

The project is designed as a complete solution from a single source, not as a set of separate deliveries. That way the furniture on every floor works as one visual and functional whole. The main elements:

Height-adjustable desks for a healthy sit-stand rhythm

Workstations are equipped with electric standing desks that allow a healthy alternation between sitting and standing throughout the working day. One example from our range is CoreLift - an electric standing desk for everyday office use.

Custom furniture

A large part of the project consists of custom-made furniture: reception counters, wardrobes and personal lockers, tall and low cabinets, benches, booths and built-in elements. Custom furniture lets the fit-out match the space and the client's identity precisely.

Kitchenettes on every floor

On each floor we are fitting out kitchenettes with domestic appliances - spaces for breaks and informal get-togethers, which today are an important part of a modern office. These, too, are delivered as part of the building's unified fit-out.

Acoustic and wooden wall panels

Acoustic panels create a pleasant sound environment, while wooden panels add warmth to the rooms. In larger, open-plan offices acoustics are key to focus and comfort at work - we write about this in our article on the most common mistakes in office fit-outs.

Graphic signage and planting

The project also includes graphic signage and branding of the spaces, curtains and indoor planting. Plants and natural materials are part of an approach that we connect with better employee well-being in biophilic design.

When fitting out six floors, the greatest value lies in having one partner lead everything. The client communicates with one team, and the furniture is coordinated across all the spaces - from materials to colors and details.

How does a fit-out across six floors work?

Furnishing a building with several floors requires precise coordination with the other contractors on site. Delivery and installation are carried out with our own fleet and our own installation team, step by step from room to room, so the project runs in an orderly and predictable way.
