Heka Acoustic booth Tiho
Tiho is a free-standing acoustic booth for one to four people, made for phone and video calls in an open-plan office. The cabin has a twin-skin wall with absorbent infill, an acoustically sealed door in toughened glass and quiet forced ventilation.
It comes with LED lighting with a presence sensor and a shelf with a power socket and USB ports. It is meant for companies that introduced open-plan offices for the sake of collaboration but lost the space for focused conversations.
The cabin is not fixed to the building and can be moved when you relocate. This product is not configured online: before we quote, we check access, room height and connections with you.

Materials and construction
Material: 100% polyester (PET felt), with at least 60% recycled content from used plastic bottles according to supplier data. The panels are fully recyclable.
Density: 9 mm approximately 1,900 g/m², 12 mm approximately 2,400 g/m², 24 mm from 3,500 to 4,000 g/m².
Fire classification: EN 13501-1, class B-s1,d0 as certified by the supplier (individual batches B-s2,d0 — we enclose the certificate for the actual batch with the delivery).
Emissions: OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and REACH, free of formaldehyde, low emissions of volatile organic compounds.
Construction: twin-skin wall with absorbent infill, toughened glass door with acoustic seals, quiet forced ventilation, LED lighting with a presence sensor.
Equipment: a shelf with a power socket and USB ports; optionally a bar counter with a stool, a table with two chairs or a screen for video calls.
Acoustics and absorption
The cabin is built from a twin-skin wall with absorbent infill, and the door is toughened glass with acoustic seals.
A fair warning: for this cabin we have no sound insulation measurement of our own to EN ISO 10140 or EN ISO 717-1, so we do not publish a Dn,e,w value. We will publish it once the measurement has been carried out. Until then what stands is the description of the construction, not a number, and before we quote we talk with you about the level of privacy you expect.
Unlike partition screens, the cabin interrupts the path of sound in every direction, ceiling and floor included, which is the only way a conversation in an open-plan office is genuinely private.
The values stated come from the data sheets of the PET felt, measured to ISO 354:2003 or ASTM C423-22 and classified to ISO 11654:1997. They apply to material of this thickness with the installation described. For a specific room we prepare a reverberation time calculation based on the floor plan.
Installation
We deliver the cabin and assemble it in place. It is not fixed to the building, so it requires no building permit and can be moved.
Before we quote, we check: the access routes and the lift dimensions, the clear room height, the load capacity of the floor and the electrical connection available.
Connection: the cabin needs a 230 V connection for the ventilation, the lighting and the sockets inside.

Care and cleaning
In normal use the felt needs no special care. Vacuum it regularly with an upholstery attachment or clean it with a soft brush, about twice a year.
Remove individual stains with a slightly damp cloth and a mild detergent, then let the surface air dry. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, solvents or steam cleaners.
A damaged panel can be replaced on its own, so the pattern does not have to be renewed as a whole.
Clean the glass door with an ammonia-free glass cleaner. Check the ventilation filter once a year and replace it if needed.
Delivery and lead times
Production: 4 to 6 weeks from the confirmed specification.
Delivery and installation: we deliver the cabin and assemble it in place. Before we quote we check the access routes, the lift dimensions, the clear room height and the electrical connection.
Relocation: the cabin is not fixed to the building, so it can be dismantled and reassembled at a new location.

Acoustics are decided at the design stage, not when the space is handed over. We send architects and specifiers data sheets, an absorption calculation for the actual floor plan and drawings to place in the project.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a building permit?
No. The cabin is free-standing equipment and not part of the building, so we do not treat it as building work. When positioning it, the escape routes and the fire safety design have to be taken into account.
How long does delivery take?
As a rule 4 to 6 weeks from the confirmed specification. We confirm the exact date in the quotation, because it depends on the equipment chosen.
Can we take the cabin with us when we move?
Yes. The cabin is dismantled and reassembled at the new location. We carry out the move by arrangement.
Why can the cabin not be ordered online?
Because access, room height and connections have to be checked before the order. A wrong assumption about any one of those three means the cabin cannot be brought in or connected.
What is the interior equipment?
The basic version has a shelf with a power socket and USB ports. A bar counter with a stool, a table with two chairs and a screen for video calls are available as well. We confirm the equipment in the quotation.
Is the cabin suitable for confidential conversations?
The construction interrupts the path of sound in every direction and is considerably better than partition screens. As we do not yet have a sound insulation measurement of our own for this model, we check together before the order what level of privacy you expect.

What you get besides the product
Acoustics are a project, not an item. So along with the panels you get a calculation, samples and someone to talk to who also makes the product.
Our own production
Cutting to size, edge finishing and final work are done in the Hit Preless production facility in Medvode, and the felt comes from suppliers we have vetted. That is why a custom size is the rule here, not the exception.
Recycled PET felt
The material is made of recycled polyester, free of formaldehyde and low in emissions of volatile compounds. At the end of its service life it is recyclable.
Honest figures
We publish the absorption without an air gap and with one. The difference between the two classes is made by the installation, not by an advertising figure.

Made in a production facility that fits out entire buildings
Heka Interior is a brand of Hit Preless from Medvode. In the same facility where custom furniture for offices and hotels is made, we also produce acoustic linings. That is why special sizes, lengths and versions are feasible even in small batches.
