Seat: softly upholstered seat in button-tuft pattern, finished in eco-leather or genuine leather (standard black version).
Backrest: mid-back backrest in a classic square button-tuft pattern, same material as the seat.
Armrests: flat chromed metal armrests with upholstered top in the same fabric as the seat.
Base: polished aluminum five-spoke star base, chromed gas cylinder.
Casters: quiet dual casters, universal for hard and soft floors.

Mechanism & Adjustments
Gas lift and swivel base — a simple mechanism, optimized for a chair that spends most of its time at a conference table.

How does Richard differ from other conference chairs?
Richard is a classic modernist conference chair with a hand-upholstered seat and backrest in square button tufting. It is distinguished by the visible quality of its stitching, a solid aluminum base, and mid-back proportions that work equally well at a 6-seat or a 20-seat conference table. It is made in Slovenia in Heka's own production facility.
How does the 7-day free trial work?
We deliver the chair to your address (office or home). Test it for 7 days in your real working environment. If it doesn't suit you, we'll pick it up free of charge. If you're satisfied, keep it and pay. No risk, no questions asked.
Can Richard be custom-configured?
Yes. The standard version is in black eco-leather, but genuine leather and other leather colors are also available on request. For fixed conference tables, the chair can be made without castors (with glides). For larger projects, we offer branding with a company logo on the backrest or side. What's the warranty on Richard?
3-year manufacturer's warranty covers the mechanism, gas lift, and material defects. With in-house production in Medvode, we ensure spare parts even after the warranty expires.

Richard is designed as a conference and executive chair — it is best for meetings, reception areas, and offices where you mostly discuss, not write. For 8-hour active work at a desk, we recommend our active ergonomic chairs with adjustable lumbar support and a synchronous mechanism (Logic, Aria, Air). Richard works great as an additional chair in an executive office — one for work, the other for meetings with guests.
